The Junior Room have had a busy return to school! Here are some of the activities we have been up to.
We have been exploring 2D shapes and we created lots of pictures and patterns using them.

We explored the heating and cooling properties of materials by making toast with butter, ice cubes and rice krispie buns. We enjoyed eating the results of our experiments very much!
We created some patterns of our own using objects in the classroom.
We have been listening to pieces of music from around the world and we love to do the 'Sasha Dance' from Russia. You might also hear us singing 'Zum Gali Gali' from Israel or 'Funga Alafia' from Africa. Not forgetting our traditional Irish music - we have learned to dance to 'The Rakes of Mallow' too!
We have explored our artistic sides by creating snowy landscapes through the media of print and collage.
Finally, we have been learning about the life of Ireland's only female saint, St. Brigid and we crafted paper St. Brigid's crosses.
